Didn’t leave the house
October 12, 2008
kind of weekend. You know, with sleeping in and afternoon naps. Lazy.
Hmm what did I actually get done?
Cleaned the ol’ apartment - dusted, swept, vacuumed, bathroom (D), kitchen, put paperwork in it’s home. I also went through the baskets in the bathroom, got rid of a bunch of products that I never use. That stuff accumulates so fast. Some of o
ur IKEA furniture is showing it’s price tag. The futon, for example, has formed a crack in the piece that supports the back when in “couch position.” D tried to salvage it, but it’s definitely not as good as new anymore. Hopefully it makes it another 6 months.
Went grocery shopping - came home with with 4 bike bags full. The total bill was 100 EUR or 140 USD/160 CAD. (EUR has lost ground on USD in the last month). Anyway a big one. Got some salmon though and it was good.
Rallied for the gym - Oops, we did leave the house briefly for that. Brought our jump ropes and commandeered aerobics classroom to do some jumping exercises. D knows a bunch of different exercises, plyometrics?, from basketball. Some are, in a word, painful. Probably means it’s good or that there will be more pain tomorrow or both, right?
Oh! I made pumpkin muffins today too – to take to work tomorrow. I haven’t baked in a while but it’s to celebrate Thanksgiving, so Happy Thanksgiving early to all the Canadians.
Organized my PC – and we are in the process of organizing our mp3 music collection. In the end, all the files will organized by:
Artist name -> Album name -> then<track number> – <title> for each song.
Using a tool for this, aptly named, Smart MP3 Renamer, to add ID3v1 and ID3v2 tags. Is this going to make my life easier? Who knows, but our mp3s are/were a disaster. Still, it’s manual intensive and boring. I hope to finish soon.
So I think that’s all about all that went on. I’m hoping everyone else had a relaxing or fun weekend!
